So, the basics: I'm a British international graduate student that's been living in the US for almost five years. I'm a planner, designer, and on-again-off-again teacher and tutor. And I'm sort-of obsessed with cities: how they run, how they're shaped, and who lives in them.

I can't list my personal interests exhaustively, because in reality I'm the kind of person that can and will latch on to just about anything, but the main preoccupation for me throughout the years has been writing. Behind me is a trail of countless short stories, discarded novels, and failed segues into pseudo-journalism. In general, I write what I read: fantasy, magical realism, classic literature (and on, and on...). If you're looking for an "in", you can reliably start there. The trouble is getting me to stop.

I would like to think that I'm a pretty caring, attentive, and warm person to be around, and this is broadly reflected in how I handle authority over other people. You can expect organization - and firm discipline if necessary - but only with a view to furthering your best interests and ensuring that you feel cared for.

I tend to gravitate toward people that genuinely care about the things they do (whether it's work, an interest, etc.), and are eager to share that with other people. People who are just comfortable to be around are a major bonus.
